Social Justice and Inclusion

Being able to communicate across difference is a key skill that is important for all higher education students to learn during their experience. It is also something that I believe to be important for our society. When looking to impart this to students, one must take into account the culture of the student body and the ethos of the institution.

I have personally gained so much from just listening to my student's and other professionals stories. Taking the time to listen to someone will make it much easier to relate to them. Inclusion and social justice comes in full force when we are willing to communicate and collaborate with all types of people. Teamwork makes the dream work!

George, one of my student workers at DSU. I love listening to his life stories, and how he got to where he is today!
