In the past year, I have grown tremendously in the advising and supporting skills I already encompassed. Additional attributes have also been added to my skillset through the multiple experiences I have had this past year. One of my goals when I started the program was to gain rapport and build relationships with students. Through supervising both students at Western Kentucky University in the Downing Student Union, and the Student Ambassadors at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College, I have been able to do just that.

Advising & Supporting
Throughout the past year, I have come to notice that more students utilize me to provide resources and advice for them. They also come to me concerning anything from normal every day life, to really difficult issues. This has assisted me in building those skills that are necessary to advise and support students, like a warm and welcoming personality, open-ended question asking, and a listening ear that is not afraid to give sound advice.
