In the past year, I have been exposed to a variety of assessment strategies, evaluation types, and research ideas. Through my course experiences in these areas specifically, I have learned many different techniques and how pertinent assessment, evaluation, and research is in the field of higher education. The importance of this information not only lies in the data itself, but with what action is taken after the information is collected. Information is invalid if it is not utilized for the betterment of the quality of life of students.

Specifically, I have completed research projects concerning both leadership programs, student engagement events, and international student involvement. In my internship, I have completed multiple evaluations concerning our student workers. These evaluations are considered performance reviews, and after both the student, my supervisor, and I have completed the evaluation, we discuss them together to see how both sides can improve the situation.
